Developmental assessment is the process of mapping a child's performance compared with children of similar age. ... It aims to highlight what normal developmental parameters are, when and how to assess a child, and when to refer for specialist assessment.
SCREENING < EVALUATION
Screenings are a brief snapshot of a child's abilities. These screenings are designed to find out if a full evaluation is warranted. Children are not diagnosed with anything during a screening. An evaluation is a very thorough process performed by a licensed professional and can yield diagnoses.
DOES IT COST?
