Children with Autism often struggle to interact and play in age appropriate ways. We can practice basic play skills to help your child connect and interact.
what happens in an aba session?
Because all of the programming is individualized in ABA therapy, each session will be tailored to the learning style of the client. We emphasize play and learning in the child's natural environment, which allows them to have as many learning opportunities as possible!
our program entails
Testing & Assessments
The Verbal Behavior Milestones and Placement Program is one of the most comprehensive assessment and skill-tracking tools our field has for skills in the 0- to 48-month old level. It helps us develop an appropriate curriculum that is tailored for that child’s specific needs.
We focus on enhancing parenting practices and behaviors, such as guiding parents on a home program, promoting positive play and interaction between parents and children, and locating and accessing community services and supports.
Every child is unique, we know that. ABA is not a one size, fits all approach. The foundation of a good ABA program involves an individualized set of goals, practices, motivations and more. Every child has a treatment plan written for them specifically.
Our ABA clients will be seen by a member of our ABA team for direct instruction in our clinic or in their natural environment. Our trained staff will use only the most proven and safe methods to help teach your child the new skills they are learning.
what ages do we serve in aba?
At Cornerstone, our focus is implementing early intervention in ABA. We serve clients between the ages of 18 months-8 years old. We will see clients 8+ dependent upon clinical need.
